Police arrest parents for flogging son’s school teacher to death

After his kid was disciplined by school authorities for stealing two kegs of palm wine, Nnajiofor Nweke allegedly flogged to death the teacher who had disciplined him. This is according to the Delta Police Command.

He told The Nation that an unidentified pupil from Alihame Mixed Secondary School, Agbor, along with other accomplices, broke into a local palm wine shop and took two kegs of palm wine.

 

According to Edafe, the kids were flogged after the incident was reported to school officials.

 

He claims the suspect carried a cane inside the school during the incident and began randomly striking instructors before one of them, a 33-year-old man, slumped down and died.

 

According to him, the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) at the State Command Headquarters in Asaba is currently investigating the suspect on murder charges.

 

The notice states, “On 18th October 2023, the suspect Nnajiofor Nweke, a father of one kid (name withheld) at Alihame Mixed secondary School Agbor, on the said date, his son along with some other pupils went to a palm wine business and allegedly stole two kegs of palm wine. Students were flogged after the incident was reported to school officials. The suspect took his protest to the school, where he began caning instructors. There was a fatal collapse among the faculty. The suspect is being questioned by SCID in connection with a possible murder case.
