Dipo Fasina, a former president of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), was located in Turkey after going missing for days at the Istanbul Airport.
According to a statement released yesterday by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), the don was tracked down thanks to the efforts of the Commission and the Nigeria High Commission in Turkey.
Fasina, 76, was en route from Istanbul, Turkey, to Algiers, Algeria, when he allegedly missed his connecting flight.
NIDCOM thanked the Nigerian Ambassador to Turkey for sending officials to the airport to help them find him in the crowded, sprawling Istanbul Airport.
