On June 22, 2023, the remains of High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, founder of DAAR Communications, will be interred at his residence in Agenebode, Edo State.
According to the burial arrangements announced by the Dokpesi family of Agenebode, this information was disclosed. The owner of AIT and Ray Power FM radio, Dokpesi, passed away on May 29, 2023.
In the statement, dignitaries, friends, and well-wishers are invited to pay their respects and honor the memory of Raymond Dokpesi, the late founder of DAAR Communication.
The family announced that the funeral will begin on June 19, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. with a day of tributes at the prestigious International Conference Centre in Abuja.The following day, 20 June, at 12 noon, a requiem mass will be held at the Church of the Assumption in Abuja.
The religious service will be a solemn occasion commemorating the life and legacy of the renowned businessman.
Following the requiem mass, a reception will be held at the DAAR Villa, 1 Ladi Lawal Drive, Asokoro, Abuja, where attendees will have the opportunity to express their condolences and support to the Dokpesi family.
On June 21, the funeral procession will proceed to Agenebode, the ancestral home of the Dokpesi family. A Liturgy of Songs will be held at Ezomo’s Residence in Agenebode at 5:00 p.m., allowing the local community to pay its last respects to the late Chief Dokpesi.
The most important funeral events will take place on June 22. At 11:00 am, a funeral mass and interment will be held at Ezomo’s Residence in Agenebode. There will be a gathering of family members, friends, and dignitaries to bid farewell to the visionary founder of Daar Communication.
At 2:00 pm, guests will be entertained following the interment at the Ezomo residence in Agenebode and St. Peter’s Secondary School.
And on June 24 at 9:00 am, the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Agenebode will host a Thanksgiving Mass.
The church service will be a time of gratitude as the community offers prayers and thanks for the deceased founder of Daar Communication’s influential life.
