Kano State Hisbah Board personnel have been deployed to mosques across the state’s 44 local government areas.

The board stated that the move was part of its efforts to ensure the safety of people and property during Ramadan.

Sheikh Harun Ibn Sina, the board’s Commander General, made the announcement while speaking with reporters on Thursday.

He stated that all members of the corps would visit mosques during iftar, tarawih, and tahajjud prayers to protect worshippers and their property from criminal elements.

He also stated that the board would step up efforts to arrest those found engaging in social vices and to evacuate those found guilty of disrupting the state’s current peaceful atmosphere.

Sheikh Ibn Sina also stated that hisbah personnel would apprehend anyone found guilty of violating Islamic teachings during Ramadan, particularly ticktockers who use derogatory remarks.

Thus, the commander appealed to the public, particularly the wealthy, to help orphans and the needy in society.

“Feeding during the holy month is rewarding because Allah (SWT) opens the doors of paradise, as such, there was a need to multiply good deeds in order to gain Allah’s favor,” he said.

“To gain Allah’s rewards, one can give clothes, food, grains, water, and cash to those in need,” he explained.
