#LagosDecides2023: Obasa wins House of Assembly seat for the sixth time.

Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has been declared the winner of Saturday’s House of Assembly election in Agege Constituency 1.

 

Obasa of the All Progressives Congress (APC) received 17,214 votes, defeating his closest challenger Raheem Rasaki Alabi of the Labour Party (LP), who received 3,933 votes to finish second, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate received 1,609 votes.

 

Kafayat Morenikeji, an ADC candidate, finished fourth with 62 votes, while Olubunmi Michael of the SDP received 55 votes and Odusami Oladipupo of the ADP received 51 votes.

 

“Obasa Mudashiru of APC, having satisfied the requirement of the law, is hereby declared the winner and is returned elected,” said INEC’s Returning Officer.

Hon. Obasa was elected to represent Agege Constituency 1 for the sixth time with his victory.
