Katsina governor’s nephew and two others die in car crash
Adamu Ali, the nephew of Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari, and two security agents named Nura Sufyanu and Kabir Ali all died in a terrible car accident.
On Friday night, the incident happened in a village called Gadar Tsuntsaye in the Musawa Local Government Area of the state.
The accident was confirmed by El-Amin Isa, who is in charge of social media for Masari, and SP Gambo Isah, who is the spokesman for the Katsina Police Command.

Other sources said that the victims and others were going to Kafur, which is the hometown of the governor, to vote in the governorship and State House of Assembly elections on Saturday.
The sources said that bad parts of the road in the area were to blame for the accident.
One of the sources said, “The victims were trying to get to a bridge in the area on Friday night when they hit bad parts of the road, which caused the car they were in to skip and somersault, killing them.”
Three other people who were hurt in the accident were first taken to the General Hospital in Malumfashi, where they were treated, before they were taken to the Federal Teaching Hospital in Katsina.
A police spokesman said Saturday that the bodies of the people who died had been moved from the scene to a morgue in Katsina. This meant that plans had already been made to bury them.
“The accident happened on Friday night,” the police spokesman said. The victims were going to Kafur, which is the governor’s hometown, to vote in the elections for governor and State House of Assembly. We sent the bodies of the dead people to Katsina.”
At the same time, a lot of people showed up for the elections as early as 7 a.m. at polling places all over the state.
