Obi takes strong lead in Ebonyi, clears 7 LGAs
The Presidential Candidate of Labour Party (LP), Mr Peter Obi, has defeated the presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and Rabi’u Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in seven out of the 13 local government areas of Ebonyi State.
Obi is leading by a wide margin in the results so far declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as at Sunday evening.
The INEC state collation officer in Ebonyi State, Prof. Charles Igwe, who is the Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria Nsukka, (UNN), declared the results as follows:
