APC clears National Assembly seats in Ekiti

The All Progressive Congress in Ekiti State has cleared all the 9 National Assembly seats in the State.

 

A statement signed by INEC Head, Voter Education and Publicity, on behalf of the Ekiti Resident Electoral Commissioner, Prof. Abayomi Salami, declared the All Progressive Congress as the winner of all the nine National Assembly seats in Ekiti

 

The Statement which was made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti on Sunday evening, showed that the APC emerged victorious in the 3 Senatorial Districts as well as the 6 Federal Constituencies in the State.

Ekiti Central Senatorial District:

Opeyemi Bamidele scored 69, 351 to defeat his closest rival, Ajijola Oladimeji of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who polled 26,181, while Arowolo David of Social Democratic Party, SDP, came third with total votes of 15, 092.

 

In Ekiti North Senatorial District,

Cyril Fasuyi of the APC scored 54,224 to defeat the PDP candidate, Funso Ayeni, who polled 39,397 and Ayegbusi Oladele of the SDP scored, 1739 to emerge third.

 

Ekiti South Senatorial District:

Yemi Adaramodu polled 63, 189 to defeat the incumbent PDP Senator, Biodun Olujimi, who scored 36,191 and Abiodun Fasakin Isaac got 1406 to emerge third.

 

Federal Constituencies:

 

Ikole/Oye Constituency:

The APC Candidate, Rotimi Akintunde emerged victorious with 25,517, while Bimbo Daramola of the SDP scored 14,524, PDP candidate, Yinka Akerele came third with 9,754

 

Emure/Gboyin Ekiti East Federal Constituency:

Femi Bamisile of the APC returned elected with 31,711, while his closest rival from the PDP, Emiola Jennifer scored 14,290 and the SDP candidate got 2,776 to emerge third.

 

Ijero/Ekiti West/Efon Constituency:

Omoleye Abiodun of the APC routed his rivals with 29,296 votes to emerge victorious, while the PDP candidate, Lere Olayinka came second with 11,504 votes, the SDP candidate, Oladipo Michael trailed behind with 6,749 votes.

 

Ido-Oso/Moba/Ilejemeje Constituency:

The APC candidate, Kolawole Akinlayo scored 25,701 to defeat the PDP candidate, Ajayi Samuel who polled 20,186 and Awoyemi Ebunlomo of the SDP came distant third with 342 votes.

 

Ado-Ekiti/Ifelodun/Irepodun Constituency:

Oluwafemi Victor Fatoba was elected with 39,183 total votes, while the PDP candidate, Fayose Oluwajomiloji emerged first runner up with 12,295 votes and the SDP candidate, Obayemi Temitayo came third with 10,899 votes.

 

Ekiti Southwest/Ikere/Ise-Orun

Ojuawo Adeniyi of the APC emerged victorious with 30,699 votes, while the PDP candidate, Akomolafe Henrich Bankole got the second place with 19,699 votes and Ayenimo Gboyega of the SDP scored 1,298 to occupy the third place.
