The death of Davido and Chioma’s 3-year-old son Ifeanyi Adeleke have stirred up many reactions from Nigerians to the sad news.

 

The Lagos state police have also confirmed what from the beginning seemed like a rumour, despite Davido and Chioma’s silence on the matter.

 

One Twitter user said, @datfyngurl17: This hit differently cus have been there I I pray I never lose a child again ** my prayers are with davido and chroma it’s so sadden to type I felt this with all of my soul rip ifeanyi **

 

@lilygracetweets: The devastation that the death of a loved one causes is profound. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Heartfelt condolences to Davido and Chioma. May God comfort you and yours in this trying time.

 

Others came out with prayers to support Chioma and Davido as they grieve.

Muyiwa Ademola reacted to the awful news in an Instagram post by saying that children should be watched by adults when swimming.

 

“The boy was inside water for too long and they pulled him out and rushed him to the hospital. By the time they rushed him to Lagoon Hospital it was already too late. We can’t just act as if nothing happened because we love them and we are all parents. May we never bury our children.”

 

In an Instagram post, Emeka senator said to the news, “The revelation was taken for granted, we are truly sorry.”

 

Comedian and skit maker Williams Uchemba noted, “I said won’t believe anything on SM until I personally I prayed for it to be a lie. I am upset, pained and confused. Nobody deserves to feel this pain.

 

Please say a prayer for David, Chioma and the entire family. Nobody deserves this kind of pain. Rest up little one”.
