Reckless driver knocks down school boy in Effurun

A reckless driver plying the Warri-Sapele Road, Effurun has knocked down a JSS 3 student in Effurun on Wednesday, 11th May, 2022.

According to an eye witness, the driver of the Toyota Venza car was at top speed while driving on one way.

It was gathered that the boy, who was identified as Joshua, was crossing the dualized road when the driver of the car, a young boy, hit him.

It was further gathered that the boy was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was said to still be battling with his life.

As at the time of filing this report, Joshua was still unconscious in the hospital while the driver and the vehicle were in police custody. (Delta State News Bulletin)
