Veteran Broadcaster Bisi Olatilo survives COVID-19, discharged!
Friends and family members of one of Nigeria’s most celebrated broadcasters, Prince Bisi Olatilo, may still be celebrating, even as you read this.
And the reason is very, very obvious. YES INTERNATIONAL! Magazine exclusively gathered that the father and grandfather who speaks Nigeria’s three major languages – Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba impeccably – has joined the league of celebrities who went into a duel with the ravaging and rampaging coronavirus and lived to tell the story.
Yes, Uncle B, like his younger friends and admirers affectionately address him, survived COVID-19 – after spending days in a Lagos isolation centre, with medical personnel battling day and night to flush the virus out of his system.
Sharing the good news with one of his friends via a text message, the MD of Biscon Television and creator of the monstrously popular Bisi Olatilo Show had said: “Thank God, the doctors say I’m fully recovered…In fact, discharged already…Heading home any moment from now…”
Interestingly, rumours of Bisi Olatilo’s death had swirled all over town days back, forcing him to swiftly make a video on his hospital bed, which did not only go viral, but also quenched the worries and anxieties of his loved ones.
Now, the Lord has completed everything by granting him total healing. A proper thanksgiving, of course, will ultimately follow.
