Amidst the trying time, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has assured a better tomorrow for Nigerians.

Adeboye, gave the assurance Sunday during the November special thanksgiving service and prayers for the total restoration for the brokenhearted and their families, at the Church’s national headquarters in Ebutemetta, Lagos.

He stressed that joy cometh as God was aware of the happenings in Nigeria and definitely knows the end from the beginning.

The cleric charged Nigerians particularly Christians to always rejoice, pray without ceasing and give thanks to God in every thing to be at peace in the midst of the storm.

Calling for individual and national repentance, he noted that prayers may seem unanswered when there is no prayer for God’s mercy .

“As surely as day follows night, joy will always follow sorrow. Rejoice because the sorrow will not last.”

“Are you still breathing? Rejoice. Supposed people have disappointed you, rejoice.Jesus will not disappoint you.”

“You have been praying and you are not getting answers.Pray by asking God for mercy. Give thanks because it is the will of God. Give thanks because God is still on the throne. He’s in control. God knows the end from the beginning,” Adeboye stated in his sermon.

After his sermon, Adeboye in an interview with journalists responded to the observation of churches giving support to #EndSARS protest.

He said the church lent its voice to #EndSARS protest because it wanted the Nigerian government to be more responsive to its duties.

Adeboye, who spoke through Pastor Funso Odesola, Assistant General Overseer, Admin/Personnel stated, “With what has happened with #EndSARS protest, it shows a new Nigeria is forming. The church wants the government to be more responsible and do more for the people.

“The government has always accused churches of not doing anything but it is the churches that do more for the people.”

“EndSARS gave an avenue for the voice of the church to be heard. When you see people moving in the right direction you back them. We believe God for a better Nigeria.” (Sunday
