The Minister of state for Transportation, Senator Gbemisola Saraki and the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, MPA, Ms Hadiza Usman, may be on war paths as Saraki contradicted Usman’s position at a Senate hearing.

Sataki disassociated and discredited Usman before the Joint Senate Committee on Navy, Marine Transport and Finance, investigating the N263.89 billion illegal security services carried out by the Ocean Marine Solutions Ltd (OMLS) at the Safe Anchorage Area in Lagos Ports.

Gbemi Saraki was present to represent the Ministry of Transportation and while reacting to questions by the Committee Chairman, Senator George Sekibo, she said that OMSL contract on security services at the ports had not been suspended or dismantled as claimed by the Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Hadiza Usman on Tuesday.

This dismisses everything told the committee by the MPA MD, who was also available for the hearing by the joint senate committee.
