To say traffic in Lagos is Hell on earth, may be an understatement. From the surburbs to Mainland up to the Island, Lagosians are groaning under traffic hold ups that last from two to eight hours sometimes.
While many Nigerians wonder why such a bustling city as Lagos does not have a metro train system, nor taken advantage of it’s natural waterways, hope seems to be on the way with Governor Babajide Sanwoolu’s launching of the Lagos water Uber.

The governor, Friday, launched Uber Boat Pilot at Five Cowries Boat Terminal, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Though not a government initiative, the Water Uber, owned by Uber will alleviate the traffic problems in Lagos.

At the launch with the governor, were, MD/CEO, Lagos Ferry Services, Abdoulbaq Ladi Balogun; General Manager, Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), Mr. Oluwadamilola Emmanuel; Commissioner for Transport, Dr. Fredrick Oladeinde; General Manager, UBER West Africa, Mrs. Lola Kassim and Country Manager, UBER, Mr. Tayo Oyegunle.
