Members of secret cult groups have killed three men in Osogbo, the Oyo State capital.
The cultists killed a man identified as Olorunda at Irojo area in Ilesha on Wednesday and also killed two others at Oke-Ijetu area and Sasa area at Ibokun Road in Osogbo.
According to a witness, one of the victims who worked at a saw mill in Ilesa, went to buy cowpea for breakfast when he was killed.
The witness said, “Armed men suspected to be cultists shot at a rival gang member at Irojo Area, Ilesa, but missed their target and ended up killing Olorunda.”
The state’s police spokesman, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident.
He said the situation had been brought under control and that calm had been restored in the area while investigation was ongoing. (Daily Trust)
