The Biafra Nations League (BNL) has warned that the shoot-at-sight order issued to the Police by the Federal Government against Biafra secessionist groups, if carried out, could result to full-scale violence worse than that of Southern Cameroons.

Princewill Chimezie Richard, National Leader of BNL, said in a statement issued over the weekend that they have tried to avoid any violence that would result to displacing people of the South Eastern region, adding that the Federal Government is trying to provoke the Biafran agitators into resorting to full-scale violence.

He alleged that “the FG wants to destabilise the region in other to declare a state of emergency”, while warning that “should the Biafran secessionists start operating as faceless groups, it would be worse than what the government is experiencing in Sambisa forest.”

The BNL leader stated that they will not watch the security agencies clamp down on them as a result of the activities of unknown gunmen who are sponsored by politicians for political reasons and has nothing to do with Biafra.

Princewill warned that there will be high increase in violence should the Federal Government start extra-judicial killing of Biafran agitators and their supporters.
