Delta community leaders petition IGP, call for ex-LG chairman’s arrest

The leaders of Odidi community, Warri South /West local government Area of Delta State, have called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and other security operatives to arrest the former Odidi community Chairman, Chief Johnny Arigbogha, over alleged moves to cause crisis and topple a constituted community leadership.
In a statement signed by the secretary of the community Comrade Clement Numa states that it was expedient to Arrest Arigbogha for his sinister moves to outsmart a court of competent jurisdiction and to illegally constitute it’s community leadership.
The statement also alleged that Arigbogha on a mission to shutdown Odidi community flow station operated by NPDC, NECONDE Joint venture recently, an action calculated with utilisation of violence and criminal attacks.
They claimed that former community chairman manipulating one chief Mamamu who is down with heal health and not disposed to handle any matter relation to odidi community.
The petition further noted that to douse tension in the all rich Odidi community it was pertinent to clamp down Arigbogha and allow the Court of competent jurisdiction to adjudicate on the matter. (Daily Independent)
