Abuja witnesses first rainfall in 2021

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Friday at about 8pm experienced it first rain fall this year. The rain came with a massive winds, mild lightning and slight thunders.

Although it was not a serious rain Airport Rd residents observed that it was an indication of early rains this year.

The massive dusts occasioned by the winds sent passersby scampering for safety.

Over the last couple of weeks the residents have complained about unbearable heat weather.

So, expectations of rains have been high.

We recall that weather experts have predicted early rains in 2021 in line with global climate change.

Also, the experts forecast some flood flashpoints in the FCT, cautioning both government and residents to make adequate preparations to forestall any emergency and disaster.

The report as at the time of going to press, showers of rain were dropping and sent funseekers indoors early.
