Man dies after jumping 7 floors to evade EFCC arrest

A yet to be identified man died, on Thursday, after he jumped from the 7th floor of a building at 1004 Estate, Victoria Island while attempting to flee from operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) who were after a suspect.

It was learnt that the operatives of the commission were in the estate to effect the arrest of a suspect who was not in any way connected to the deceased.

The case has since been transferred to the homicide unit of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.

Lagos State Police spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed the unfortunate incident said the yet to be identified young man died after he jumped from the 7th floor of a building in VI, Lagos. (Daily Trust)
