One of the suspended traditional rulers whose suspension is yet to be lifted by the Anambra State Government for visiting the Presidency without permission from Governor Willie Obiano, Igwe Chijioke Nwankwo of Nawfia Community, Njikoka Local Government of Anambra State, has cried out, lamenting that he is being humiliated for demanding that the state government should commence implementation of the five percent Joint Account, which has been denied traditional rulers in the state for several years now.

Igwe Nwankwo, who spoke to journalists in his palace at Nawfia yesterday, said it was only in Anambra State that the payment of five percent of the Joint Account Salary to traditional rulers was yet to be implemented unlike their counterpart in other parts of the country.

The traditional ruler, who replaced his late father as Osuofia of Nawfia, told journalists that he would continue to oppose injustice where ever he fould it and accused Obiano of instigating crisis in his community.  (Daily Independent)
