Gunmen invade Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, abduct Lecturer

Just two days after the release of the nine abducted Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria students, armed kidnappers struck at the institution yesterday, Monday , November 23, 2020.
According to a press release signed by the Director, Public Affairs Directorate, Malam Auwalu Umar, the kidnappers invaded the house of a staff member of the university in Sardauna Crescent, Area BZ main campus, Samaru, Zaria.
The staff member, our sources said, is a Physiology Professor who was abducted alongside his wife and daughter at about 12:50 a.m.
It was gathered that the university security division informed the operatives of the police intelligence response team that went to the scene, that there was an exchange of fire between the kidnappers and the mobile police operatives.
The kidnappers then released the wife and daughter but went away with the staff member.
