Woman begs Boko Haram to release her Husband

Mrs Martina Bitrus, the wife of abducted lecturer working with Umar Suleiman College of Education, Gashuwa in Yobe State, Mr Bitrus Zakka has appealed to his abductors to release her husband from captivity.
ABUJAPEOPLE learnt that the lecturer in the College’s department of Christian Religious Knowledge (CRK) was said to have been abducted by suspected Boko Haram members on his way to Damaturu, Yobe state capital on 27th November, 2019.
In a telephone interview with Mrs Martina Zakka, she said that the abductors failed to establish contact with her in request for ransom till date.
She described her husband as innocent, dedicated and honest person, just as she begged the security agencies to secure her husband alive.
Speaking to our correspondent, the son of the abducted lecturer, Barka Bitrus Bwala, called on religious leaders both Muslim and Christian to intervene urgently before Boko haram would kill his father.
He added that, “I am begging government, President Buhari, Yobe state governor, Mai Mala Buni; religious leaders, traditional rules and non-governmental organisations to have mercy on Bitrus, me and our mother and release Bitrus from Boko haram captivity.”
“I want to thank all Nigerians over their prayers and collective struggle towards the release of my lovely father, I want to call on President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Buni and college authority to put more effort to release my father from Boko Haram captivity” he emphasized.
Some management staff of the college, assured the Academic Staff Union of Colleges (ASUC) Gashua branch, that it would not relent in working more closely with the security agencies until the abducted staff of the college is rescued.
The management of the College however appealed to the abductors of its staff to kindly release him so that he would report back to the workplace and to his loved ones.
