Kaduna school abduction: 1 person escapes

One person that was abducted alongside the students of Prince Academy in Damba-Kasaya, Kaduna State, has escaped from his abductors.

The farmer (name withheld), who was picked at his farm on Monday morning by the gunmen found his way home.

Details of how he escaped remain sketchy, but he was said to have returned home in the early hours of Tuesday.

Gunmen stormed the rural community around 8am on Monday and abducted the students‎ who were receiving revision lessons in preparation for their Junior Secondary School examination.

However, 24 hours after ‎the abduction, the police are yet to comment on the incident.

Also, the police spokesman, ASP Mohammed Jalige, didn’t answer his calls on Tuesday.   (Daily Trust)
