Adeleye Adeniyi, a mini-truck driver from Ado-Ekiti, has revealed he borrowed N3.5 million to assist the re-election efforts of President Bola Tinubu, Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele and Ekiti State House of Assembly member, Steve Fatoba.
Adeniyi, commonly known as “Online Loan Man for BAO”, said this in an interview with media now circulating today, where he showed a Wema Bank cardboard cheque indicating N2m for Tinubu, N1m for Bamidele and N500,000 for Fatoba.
The PUNCH writes that he said he was ready to advocate for the three lawmakers ahead of the next elections on account of what he termed their performance in office.
“I am supporting Mr President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his second term ambition. I have taken a loan. I want to utilise this money to encourage him since he is doing a really excellent job,” he remarked.
Adeniyi also promised to campaign for Tinubu saying, “Like I said again, I am fully ready to go out to campaign for him. And I’m gonna play this song in support of him. We will respect your mandate.”
He urged Nigerians to vote for Tinubu, Bamidele and Fatoba, saying he thought the President will give more dividends if re-elected.
“I will appeal to my fellow Nigerians that we should show love by giving him, by voting him for his second term in office because we are still going to see much more, more than what we have received,” he stated.
The driver also commended Bamidele and Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji for their efforts to healthcare, education, energy and rural infrastructure in the state.
This man, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele. I pray we still go higher. Most of the time I look at the kind of projects you always put on, you always supported. This is a good leader, indeed.” Always made me hopeful that no.
Adeniyi was again in the news in February 2026 when he reportedly took a loan from the OPay digital lending company to put a brand on a car in support of Oyebanji’s re-election bid.
A mini-truck driver plying around the BAO Timber Market along Ilawe Road in Ado-Ekiti, he remarked at the time that his admiration for the governor’s administration inspired him.
He also lauded Oyebanji and Tinubu on their policies on education, healthcare and citizens’ welfare, asking locals to back the governor’s re-election effort.
Adeniyi in the new video said he had borrowed loan again to show support for politicians.
