Jarret Tenebe, Edo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has threatened to use the “power of AK-47” on anyone who plans to frustrate the party’s mission to deliver 2.5 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Tenebe made the warning during one of the campaign rallies held when Governor Monday Okpebholo toured the 18 Local Government Areas of the state to galvanise support for President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election, Weekend Trust reports. AccessServices
Our reporter saw a viral video in which Tenebe was heard threatening to silence anyone who stands against the party’s ambition to acquire 2.5 million votes for President Tinubu.
He said the number of votes a state gives to the federal government could determine the evolution of the state in terms of establishment of more local government regions and states.
He claimed the invocation of the spirit of “Holy Ghost fire” would be heavier against those who might block the party’s quest to collect 2.5 million votes, while invocation of the “General Purpose Machine Gun” spirit was lighter.
“So anybody that refuses, that wants to stand in our way of not getting the 2.5 million votes we want to give to Mr President, AK-47 fire,” he added.
“When the governor assured the president that the state would deliver 2.5million votes, he said, “our detractors, the opposition people and the social media politicians started to ask where such votes would come from in Edo State.
Tenebe also said the governor had already done his critics wrong by mobilising 2,156,800 votes for the party at the recent local government elections in the state.
