The Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, on Tuesday, re-affirmed his administration’s commitment to attracting strategic investments that would drive industrialisation and sustainable economic growth in the state, when he commissioned the Jinlide•Qiangyu New Energy Plant in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, China.
Governor Sule, who was the Special Guest of Honour at the occasion, said that his administration was still focused on establishing an enabling environment for credible investors through clear policies, infrastructure development and responsible mining operations.
Also at the ceremony was the Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, who hailed the inauguration of the ultra-modern facility as another milestone in the expanding relationship between Chinese investors and Nigerian states blessed with strong natural resources.
Governor Sule, speaking to visitors at the ceremony, praised the management of Jinlide•Qiangyu New Energy for its faith in Nigeria and dedication to the development of the global clean energy value chain.
He said the state would continue to encourage investments that will add value to its plentiful mineral resources, generate jobs, facilitate technology transfer and support inclusive economic development.
The governor also voiced confidence about deepening engagement with Chinese enterprises, saying he looks forward to signing additional Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to enhance existing collaborations and attract more investments into the state’s mining and industrial sectors.
During the visit, Governor Sule and members of his delegation inspected the company’s state-of-the-art production facilities and witnessed the company’s advanced manufacturing processes, contemporary production technologies and quality control systems.
He expressed happiness at the level of innovation in the factory, saying similar value-addition projects should be replicated in Nasarawa State to tap maximally the economic potentials of the state’s mineral endowments.
As a token of appreciation for his visit, the management of Jinlide•Qiangyu New Energy gave a special plaque of honour to Governor Sule.
The visit is part of the ongoing investment promotion activities of the governor to attract international collaborations and establish Nasarawa State as a premier location for responsible mining, mineral beneficiation and industrial growth in Nigeria.
