The College of Nursing, Umulogho Obowo in Imo State has been plunged into mourning following the untimely death of a student of the College of Nursing, Ms. Wendy Achumba.
Wendy, from Ngwa in Abia State, her body was found dead in her residence under unsettling circumstances, creating anxiety, outrage and tension within the school community and among residents.
The incident has shocked pupils and loved ones, many of whom are calling for a full inquiry and justice for the deceased.
There are also increasing allegations and unsubstantiated assertions from students and residents that attempts are being made to cover up information around the tragedy.
However there is no formal statement published by the school officials on the allegations.
No official comment had come from security authorities at the time of reporting this article and investigations were supposed to be under progress.
