Nollywood actress Sandra Okunzuwa has opened up on the emotional and psychological struggles that actresses go through while filming love scenes, adding that kissing parts once contributed to the end of her relationship.
In a recent appearance on the BTS Reality Show, the actress said many people think performers like intimate scenes on set, but the reality is that they are sometimes uncomfortable and emotionally taxing.
“When you are kissing in the movie and you have twenty people watching you, you cannot enjoy it. We don’t like it. We don’t get in the mood.
“If it’s something that we can scrap out completely and still make the viewers enjoy it, I’d be happy with it,” she added.
The actress said that filming intimate sequences may be damaging to personal relationships, particularly when partners have difficulty separating fiction from reality.
These things affect our personal relationships. “I had to break up with someone because of this, for instance,” she said.
Sandra Okunzuwa, recalling the incident, said her ex-boyfriend confronted her when he received a video tape of her kissing another actor on a movie shoot.
‘He called me and informed me he just received a video of me kissing this guy on site. It is difficult, it is not easy.
“I don’t blame people who say they can’t date actresses because not everyone can take certain things,” she continued.
