Ralph Nwosu, a former national chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), thinks that the party is the only one that can help the country with its problems.
During an interview on Channels Television yesterday, Nwosu said this.
“The ADC is the best party and the only one that can preserve this country and set it on a path of growth that the world and our people expect of us.
“We talk about Nafiu Bala as a group. How can one person be a faction? “This is the All Progressive Party’s (APC) plan.”
The ADC head said that President Bola Tinubu has “dominated” Lagos politics by ignoring the city’s diversity and complexity and “weakening opposition parties and aligning them with the APC.”
“When he became president, he thought he could do the same thing for Nigeria, and that’s what Nigerians are fighting against.
“It’s not about me or ADC, but we have given Nigerians and patriots a clear way to fight back against this terrible force.” That’s what’s happening. We knew it wouldn’t be easy. People claim he is Jagaban, therefore I don’t think anyone in this country thought it would be simple. He said, “He’s going to box his way through.”
His opinion comes after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) decided not to let the David-Mark or Rafiu Bala-led group of the ADC communicate with them. This was after a ruling by the Court of Appeal.
The ADC protested at the INEC offices in Abuja, saying that the umpire was working for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and hurting democracy.
Nwosu added that what the INEC did was wrong, thus they chose to go to the agency’s office to protest the decision.
He remarked, “The INEC interpretation is wrong, the appeal court is wrong, and they are all inspired by the Jagaban of Nigerian politics. Now it’s clear that the Amupitan is an APC member.”
“The Jagaban of Nigeria seems to have brought down a lot of parties to become APC, and it looks like some agencies and judges have also joined the APC, but we will fight it all the way.”
Last year, Nwosu stepped down as chairman of the party and gave the job to Mark. However, Nafiu Bala, who was then the national vice chairman, said he should have taken over the job once the ADC founder stepped down.
Before the 2027 elections, the ADC became the platform for the opposition alliance. This was done by the former Senate president and other politicians like Peter Obi, Rauf Aregbesola, Atiku Abubakar, and Rotimi Amaechi.
