Rauf Aregbesola, the former governor of Osun State, has criticized the federal government led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for saying that governors who switch parties to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will win the 2027 election.
At the public launch of Bola Abdullahi’s book “The Loyalist,” the former governor of Osun State said that people, not defecting governors, win elections. He also said that taking governors from the opposition will not guarantee that the APC wins the 2027 presidential election, according to the Daily Independent.
He argued that being devoted to a cause is greater than being faithful to a person.
