Annkio Briggs, a rights activist from the Niger Delta, says that the people, not the State House of Assembly, should choose who runs Rivers State.
According to Channels TV, Briggs said this in response to the impeachment drama between the Rivers State House of Assembly and Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
She says that the people of Rivers State want Governor Fubara to stay in office, even when his current term ends in 2027.
