The 9th All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) will take place in Lagos from January 7 to 11, 2026. Nigerian rapper FalzTheBahdGuy and French-Senegalese actress Liliane Maroune will host the event.
Falz is the second Nigerian to host AFRIMA, after 2Baba did it for the first time in 2014.
Falz is known for his powerful music and acting career. Liliane, on the other hand, is an actress, model, and TV personality who provides class and global appeal.
They will illustrate how strong and rich African music and culture are together.
Nde Ndifonka, the AFRIMA Regional Director, says that their African voice and international reach make them the appropriate representatives of AFRIMA’s vision. “FalzTheBahdGuy has smarts, strong ideas, and a powerful African voice that speaks to people of all ages.” Liliane is a modern African woman with international impact who symbolizes elegance and diversity. She stated, “They both know Africa, speak for Africa, and live the African experience in their own ways.”
On Sunday, January 11, 2026, the awards event will be at the Eko hotels & Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos.
