There has been no update on Anthony Joshua’s car accident since news of his unfortunate driver, Kayode Adeniyi, possibly appearing in court today came in from the capital of Ogun State, Abeokuta.
Adeniyi is presently being questioned at Eleweran Police Station, according to an Ogun State Police Command officer who requested anonymity, according to The Guardian.
“We anticipate a charge decision within the next 48 hours, but the bank holiday may delay proceedings. He is in a stable condition and was able to give us his version of events leading up to the incident.
He informed our correspondent, “It is possible he could be in court on Friday, but it would depend on how quickly the process moves and it would be for reckless driving.”
After Anthony Joshua survived a deadly automobile accident in Ogun State, Nigeria, which killed two British men who were traveling with him, Kayode is charged with two counts of reckless driving and manslaughter.
Joshua was traveling in a Lexus SUV when it collided with a stationary vehicle on Monday along the bustling Lagos–Ibadan Expressway near Sagamu.
Adeniyi Orojo, an eyewitness, observed that Joshua was traveling with three other people at the time of the collision.
A second individual was sitting next to Joshua, who was situated behind the driver. The Lexus that crashed had four people inside, including a passenger seated next to the driver. Prior to the collision, his security detail was in the car behind them, he claimed.
Orojo went on to say that both the driver’s passenger and the passenger sitting next to Joshua passed away right away. Additionally, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) blamed wrongful overtaking and excessive speed for the collision.
