Team Justice for Mohbad is a coalition that has publicly demanded that Wunmi Adebanjo, who was in a relationship with the late musician Ilerioluwa Aloba (Mohbad), submit her son Liam to a public DNA test.
This call comes after Wunmi was accused by the late singer’s family of skipping earlier test appointments, according to the Daily Independent.
But her lawyer has maintained that her client has always been cooperative and has never tried to avoid procedures.
The organization released a statement on Monday urging the lawyer to back up his public promises by moving quickly to begin the test.
They suggested that Mohbad’s dad, Joseph Aloba, and Liam, the kid, undergo a DNA test to establish paternity.
In a statement signed by Toni Bart, it was stated: “Team Justice for Mohbad in Nigeria and the Diaspora, issue an open and transparent challenge for you to back that claim with action.” This followed a comment published in the newspaper, where Bart claimed that Mohbad’s DNA could be tested at any time.
They went on to say that the test needed to be done quickly so that the legal proceedings wouldn’t drag on.
In order to bolster their case, the organization declared a reward of N20 million to be handed to Liam in the event that the outcome verifies his biological sonhood from Mohbad.
The guy designated to distribute the riches in the event that Wunmi’s allegation is confirmed is popular activist Martins Vincent, better known by his online handle VeryDarkMan.
Liam will be awarded with a N20 million incentive if the test proves he is Ilerioluwa Aloba’s biological son. This is to show that we are being honest and impartial. Mr. Martins Vincent (VeryDarkMan) has been chosen to distribute the funds in order to maintain openness, according to the statement.
Another recommendation from Team Justice for Mohbad was to have a licensed pathologist gather samples in an open setting with accredited media organizations, bloggers, and impartial observers, all while adhering to rigorous professional standards.
The group emphasized that their goal was not to target Wunmi, but rather to shed light on a subject that has garnered national and worldwide attention, and they described their stance as a quest for truth and closure.
“The purpose of this challenge is not to bring disrepute upon your client. In a subject that has impacted millions of Nigerians and admirers worldwide, it is important to uphold truth, accountability, and closure. The most credible approach to resolve this issue, according to the letter, is with an open and verified DNA test.
Assuming both sides agree, the coalition has suggested Friday, November 28, 2025, as a potential date for the DNA test.
We are urging your client to step up to the plate and show that she is prepared to be transparent by accepting this public challenge. Assuming open coordination and mutual agreement, we propose holding the exercise on Friday, 28 November 2025,” the statement continued.
