Willie Obiano, the former governor of Anambra State, has stated that he is alive and healthy, contrary to previous allegations (not by The Frontier) that he had died.
His previous Commissioner for Information, Mr. C. Don Adinuba, denied the reports today, branding them as untrue and mischievous.
Obiano issued a comment on his Facebook page just hours after the rumors began.
He said: “My beloved Ndi Anambra, friends, and well-wishers, I awoke to learn about a report circulating regarding my health.
“Let me assure you personally: I am alive, hale, hearty, and in excellent health. I am doing quite well, thanks to God’s particular grace.
“It is terrible that some people still enjoy spreading falsehoods for unknown motives. However, we shall continue to rise above such mischief.
“I genuinely thank everyone who called, messaged, and prayed for me. Your love and kindness are more than words can describe.
“Please reject this rumour completely. We stay focused, grateful, and guided by God’s grace. Daalu nu, and may God bless everyone.”
