Adamawa

– She said this was imperative to ensure peace, security and economic prosperity of the country.
– Nanna-Nandap, who addressed personnel manning the Nigerian border in Kamba, Dandi Local Government Area of Kebbi, said they must regard the security of Nigeria as a priority.
– The personnel were drawn from the Immigration, Correctional Service, DSS, Customs, Civil Defence and Police, among others.
– The safety of this country depends solely on how well the nation’s borders are protected.
Sokoto
– Banditry and Terrorism: The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Kukah, stated that Nigeria is experiencing the repercussions of its past actions, particularly evident in the increased incidents of banditry and terrorism, primarily in the Northern region.
– Prioritizing Education: Kukah attributed the insurgency to the government’s failure to prioritize the education of the youth, cautioning that the situation could deteriorate further.
– Insecurity in the North: Sokoto State Governor, Ahmad Aliyu lauded the move of the federal government to address insurgency in the zone. The Governor who was represented by his Deputy Alhaji Idris Muhammad Gobir promised to support the Federal Government to end insecurity in the country.
