Breaking : A Baptist School pupil who was abducted after two years in captivity regains his liberty.
Finally, the last student of Bethel Baptist Secondary School, Kaduna, who was among the 120 students abducted in July 2021 during a bandit attack on the institution, has been able to reclaim his liberty.
The Daily Sun reports that, according to the information at hand, no specific ransom was paid in exchange for the boy’s release, whom many have forgotten due to the failure of multiple attempts to secure his release.
Nevertheless, substantial ransom payments amounting to several million naira facilitated the gradual release of his colleagues.
Reverend Joseph Hayab, chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kaduna State, affirmed the boy’s safe return to his family residence.
As far as he is aware, Treasure Ayuba, the child in question, is presently undergoing a medical examination at a state-based private medical facility.
