The FBI of the United States has approximately 2,500 files on President Bola Tinubu that it plans to release starting in the month of October.
The FBI, citing a new court filing, reportedly stated that it would begin releasing the documents as of the end of October, at the rate of 500 pages per month.
In a status report docketed on September 11 at the United States District Court for the District of Columbia in Washington, D.C., the FBI said that it had found “approximately 2500 pages” that might be relevant to Freedom of Information Act requests 1553430-00 and 1587544-000.
The FBI expects to begin releasing documents at the end of October 2023, with a monthly processing rate of 500 pages.
This sudden change came after a prominent American law enforcement agency initially refused to comply with a freedom of information request made in 2022.
The request was submitted by Aaron Greenspan of PlainSite, a website that promotes anti-corruption and transparency in public service, and David Hundeyin, a journalist from Nigeria.
After initial excuses from the FBI, the Gazette has monitored the application for months and provided suggestions to help ensure its success.
The release of this information is meant to answer any and all questions about President Bola Tinubu’s entry into the United States, the name he used to enter, and his subsequent involvement in any and all activities.
Tinubu appears to have first moved to the United States in the 1970s and stayed there for decades. It is anticipated that the records pertaining to his forfeiture of $460,000 for drug dealing in Chicago during the 1990s will also be made public.
Many Nigerians don’t know who the president’s real parents are or where he went to school because they haven’t been revealed.
