The fire department extinguishes the Lagos Airport hotel fire

On Monday, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service reported that it had successfully extinguished the blaze at the Airport Hotel on Obafemi Awolowo Way.

 

On Monday, the Director of LSFRS, Adeseye Margaret, disclosed this information in a press release issued after averting a fire.

 

She confirmed that a fire that broke out at 12:50 on Monday was successfully extinguished with no casualties.

 

The statement read in part, “The Fire, which involved a bungalow building with 11 rooms, was met with a raging fire and prevented from causing further damage beyond the six affected rooms, while saving adjacent structures and the historic hotel.”

 

“While the cause of the fire is being investigated, no casualties were reported in the unfortunate incident,”
