Thirty five residents kidnapped by bandits at the Millenium City settlement in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, have been released by their abductors..
The victims said to have been received by the residents of the community on Friday were said to have regained their freedom after N2.5m for each as ransom.
However, our correspondent gathered that a victim was still in the custody of the bandits simply because his family was yet to settle the demand of the bandits of purchasing two motorbikes for them.
According to an eyewitness, among the victims released are a medical doctor and fifteen others hostages taken away by the bandits last month.
The leader of the Civilian Joint Task Force of the community, Uwasu Yunusa, who confirmed the released of the kidnapped victims, was silent on wether ransom was paid or not.
