4,000 Anambra youths apply for 250 empowerment training programme vacancy
Over 4000 Anambra youths have applied for an empowerment programme meant for 250 people.
This number, according to the Special Adviser on Youth Empowerment and Convener of Youths Ernestly Seek Soludo (YESS), Dr. Nelson Omenugha subscribed to the training schedule which is part of the effort of the State Government to empower the teaming youth population.
In a statement announcing the schedule, Omenugha said that while less than 250 Youths will be trained, the agency received a total of 3,908 applications as at closing date of 25 July.
Omenugha wrote: “This is to formally announce that we have stopped accepting application to Anambra State Youth Empowerment Training because we have attained the 25-07-2022: 11.59pm deadline for application.
“We thank all those who expressed interest to the enlisted training programmes. The 1week (19th – 25th July) application notice attracted 3, 908 youth-applicants (33.2% female and 66.8% male) from across our 21 Local Government Areas and the Non-indigene cluster.
“With limited required space in view (less than 250 youths to be trained), the selection process would be highly competitive and such that only selected applicants would be contacted to make
progress with the training,” he added.
Omenugha explained that the training programme is powered by Prince Arthur Eze partnering JOBITECH, Pragmatic ICT Solutions and Giant Screen Media.
While thanking them for their assistance, Omenugha encouraged youths to keep an eye on any future empowerment training opportunities for participation. (Daily Independent)
