Abia State Chief of Staff, Prof. Agbazuere resigns

Anthony Chidi Brains Agbazuere, the Chief of Staff to Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, has resigned from office.

According to reports gathered, his resignation is due to his political intention to represent Isiala Ngwa North and Isiala Ngwa South Federal Constituency of Abia at the House of Representatives ahead of the 2023 general election.

Following his resignation, Ikpeazu on Wednesday approved the appointment of Chief Okey Ahiwe as new Chief of Staff.

This was disclosed in a press release signed by Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barrister Chris Ezem, stating that the appointment “is effective from April 11, 2022.” (Daily Independent)
