Police burst Kano-Kaduna kidnap syndicate, arrest two members

Operatives of the Kano State Police Command have arrested two notorious kidnappers who have been terrorising motorists along Kano-Kaduna roads.
Spokesman of the command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa who disclosed this said the arrest was made in two different operations led by SP Shehu Dahiru.
He said, “A team of policemen led by SP Shehu Dahiru while on intelligence-led arrested 25-year-old Adamu Shehu of Sabon Gari Safara via Kwanar Dangora in Kiru LGA.
“The suspect admitted to the coordination of series of kidnapping operations both in Falgore forest and Dansoshiya forest,” he added.
Kiyawa explained that the suspect was responsible for the gruesome killing of a volunteer vigilante member, a certain Ibrahim Shu’aibu after he raped his wife in early 2020.
He added that the team has also succeeded in arresting 26-year-old Shuaibu Isah while on follow-up intelligence report across Falgore area.
He said the suspect confessed to have been involved in a series of kidnapping within Kano, Kaduna and Nassarawa States, including the kidnapping of one Asmau Alh Sule of Falgore town, Doguwa LGA Kano State, in August 2021. (courtesy Saturday Independent)
