Dadu’ut fumes as gunmen kill 10 in Wase LGA of Plateau

Senator Nora Dadu’ut has said that armed hoodlums suspected to be ban­dits attacked Pinau town in Wase Lo­cal Government Area of Plateau State, killing 10 people with scores of others sustaining various degrees of injury.

She regretted the attack on Pinau Village in Mavo chiefdom of Wase Local Government Area, Plateau State.

Senator Dadu’ut called on security operatives to ensure the perpetrators of the dastardly act are brought to book.

Dadu’ut added that the attackers should be made to pay for their heinous crimes.
She described the ugly development as unfortunate, despite all what Plateau State government has been doing to maintain peace in the state.

“I call on security operatives to go af­ter bandits attacking innocent villagers and be made to pay for their heinous actions.”

Senator Dadu’ut commended Gover­nor Simon Lalong for his peace-building efforts -and called on people of Plateau South to remain at peaceful with one another.

Earlier, Ibrahim Umar Bako, chair­man Wase Jukun Youths Development Association (WAJYODA) in a statement made available to newsmen in Jos, said that the sad incident happened on Sun­day evening after the villagers had fin­ished their weekly community market.

He added that the gunmen stormed the village and started shooting sporad­ically. (Daily Independent)
