Student pours hot water on colleague’s genitals

A 300-level female student of Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), Ogochukwu Chiagoziem, has been taken into police custody for pouring hot water on another student, Wisdom Chukwuemeka.

The incident happened on November 4.

Ogochukwu, on Thursday afternoon, at their hostel in Ihiagwa in Owerri- West council, knocked on Chukwuemeka’s door to get toothpaste from him but Chukwuemeka did not open the door. She was said to be angry at Chukwuemeka’s behaviour.

It was learnt that Chukwuemeka confronted her moments later for knocking rudely on his door.

An argument ensued and Ogochukwu allegedly emptied a pot of water she was boiling on Chukwuemeka, targeting his manhood, a source said.

Chukwuemeka has been hospitalised with wounds on his genitals and “is at risk of missing his second semester exams.”

Police spokesman Michael Abattam confirmed the incident.
