Heavy queues have returned to Kano filling stations, prompting people to accuse the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association (IPMAN) of creating an artificial scarcity.
Already, most filling stations visited were padlocked with no sign of activities, while motorists moved about looking for the commodity.
Reports indicate that speculation of a possible increase in the price by the Federal Government might have resulted in the scarcity with many IPMAN members allegedly hiding the commodity.
Several calls put to the state Chairman of the IPMAN, Alhaji Bashir Danmallam, for his comments were not answered.
