Anambra guber: No provision for food, policeman complains of hunger

A policeman attached to polling unit 8, Abagana ward 2, Njikoka Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Anambra State, has lamented over lack of provision for food.

Over 30,000 police officers were deployed for the election which is holding across 21 LGAs in the state.

The officer (names withheld) assisted electoral officials during accreditation and voting process.

Meanwhile, there is a large turnout of voters at the Amaesi Ward of Aguata Local Government Area, where the leading candidates are from.

Professor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA); Senator Andy Uba of All Progressives Congress and Mr Valentine Obizo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), all from Aguata LGA, are the key candidates.

In all, there 18 governorship candidates in the election. (Daily Trust)
