COAS in Kebbi, vows to send bandits to their graves

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya has again vowed to send bandits in Nigeria to their graves in the shortest possible time.

General Yahaya in an interview with newsmen at the 1Battalion of the Nigeria Army, Birnin-Kebbi renewed his vowes to spare nothing that will enable the Nigerian army to send bandits to their graves, describing them as bastards who deserves no pity.

Security according to him is everybody business, harped on the need for other security agencies to synergize with the Army to achieve more feat in it quest to deal ruthlessly with bandits and other criminals across the country.

“I have seen my troops here in Kebbi, I have interacted with them one on one as you can see, I have appreciated them for the good job they are doing and I have encouraged them to do more.” He said.

General Yahaya expressed that his visit to the 1Battalion, Nigeria Army was purely optional visit since he took over as Chief of Army Staff. Pointing out that he had been going around visiting Army formations to address the troops.

“I was in Sokoto since on Sunday where I visited troops in their locations, and this is what brought me to Kebbi to see my troops who are on the ground.” He added.

Earlier, the COAS had visited the State Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu at the Government House where he inspected the 11 amour thanks and personnel carriers fabricated by the Deputy Governor, retired Col. Samaila Yombe Dabai.

He thanked the governor and his government for the various assistance he has been rendering to the army in Kebbi State. (Nigerian Tribune)
