The Northern Youths Leaders Forum (NYLF) says Gov. Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has not and will never defect to APC as claimed by the party’s latest entrant, Femi Fani-Kayode.

The National President of the Forum, Elliot Afiyo made the declaration at a news conference on Friday in Yola.

He said the claim by Fani-Kayode during his defection to APC that Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu State) and Gov. Seyi Makinde (Oyo State) were on their way to APC through his influence was also untrue.

He said NYLF was in touch with Gov. Mohammed and he confirmed that he had never at any time discussed the issues of defection with Fani-Kayode.

“We state clearly, without mincing words that Gov. Bala Mohammed has not and will never defect to APC and also, he has never at any time discussed the issue of defection with Fani-Kayode. Bala Mohammed is a nationalist who always placed national interest above his personal interest,” he said.

Afiyo also appealed to political parties in Adamawa to collapse their structures and support Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri in 2023 for a second tenure.

He said the NYLF was highly impressed by the infrastructural development Fintiri executed in Adamawa in only two years.

I mean, I know it was my option to read, but I truly thought youd have something attention-grabbing to say. All I hear can be a bunch of whining about something that you possibly can repair really should you werent too busy on the lookout for attention. 923582
