Nigerians to enjoy legal services via mobile apps

The Paralex Logistics Limited (PLL) is set to launch a mobile app platform that would leverage on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to link individuals, corporate organisations and institutions to lawyers that would provide them with legal services that meet their needs.
The PLL said that it would render a broad range of services across Nigeria and beyond by offering interested end users access to legal services from accredited lawyers and law firms and serve as a trusted link to regulatory, administrative and other institutional government and private entities.
The PLL said: “We are dedicated to ensuring that persons in Nigeria both natural and corporate have access to legal assistance, paralegal support services, with a view to getting value for money and enhancing access to logistics of legal processes through the use of cutting edge information technology solutions.
“If you need bespoke legal advice anywhere and anytime, we will connect you to lawyers across Nigeria as our network of Paralex Participating Lawyers (PPLs) are always available and ready to assist you. Type in any area of law you require a lawyer’s assistance, or enter your location and we will connect you with a qualified lawyer around you to offer you the legal service you require. Our PPLs have been screened and chosen carefully to ensure that only persons enrolled at the Supreme Court of Nigeria to practice as barristers and solicitors are the only ones on our platform offering legal services to our users.”
The Deputy General Manager of PPL, Ms. Zainab Lawal Akapo, revealed that the company would deploy its services in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja, and Kano with a broad range of services, which include litigation, logistics, legal assistance, bail bond, virtual court, webinar and cloud storage.
Akapo stated that the “mobile app on-the-go offers end-users access to legal services from accredited lawyers and law firms, communication services; a trusted link to regulatory services, public sector contacts, and other institutional and private entities.”
She added that the PPLs would reduce the stress associated with legal practice and related logistics issues while its cloud services would enable end-users to work on documents from different devices picking up from where they left off and enhance access “to logistics of legal processes through the use of leading-edge ICT solutions for exceptional services in the industry it operates.
“Its unique features for logistics delivery include package security, real-time online tracking of parcel movement till the last mile by both sender and receiver, delivery alerts to the sender by email report and SMS, cashless and robustly secured payment system with debit/credit card, bank transfer or wallet, etc.” (THISDAY)
